“Are you a student?” “No, I’m not. I’m a ghost”

This is an example from a Japanese textbook that teaches the user english through the use of conversation.

Peter: Hi, I’m Peter

Hanako: Hi , Peter. I’m Hanako. Are you from Canada?

Peter: No, I’m not. I’m from America. Are you a student?

Hanako: No, I’m not. I’m a ghost.

Peter: A ghost? Oh, no! Goodbye!

Needless to say, this kind of conversation will probably never come up on a daily basis.
